Welcome to The Moat House Surgery

The Moat House is currently a four partner practice, working from purpose built, recently extended premises and offering high quality family medicine. We are committed to continuing the best possible patient care and embracing the challenges and changes of the NHS plan and new GP contract. Our staff are friendly, professional, supportive and highly valued as part of the team delivering that care.

Founded in 1894, the Moat House Practice has been caring for the people of Merstham for over a century. Our premises have been modernised, enabling us to expand the range of health care services that we offer. Our aim is to provide high quality medical care to the whole family.

Important Information News

Care Call:

East Surrey CareCall is a free service that is designed to help you manage your health better. CareCall works alongside your GP practice. So, as well as regular contact with your GP, you get your own personal Health Coach who is a specially trained Registered Nurse.

Health Coaches can:

• help you navigate local health services

• provide you with information about health issues and treatments so that you can make informed choices

• help you take control of your health by giving you the support you need to manage and cope with a long-term illness

• help you prepare for appointments with your GP and other clinicians, so you get the maximum benefit

• give you support before and after clinics – to help you understand more about your condition and your care plan

You can call a Health Coach between 7am-11pm Monday to Friday and 9am-1pm on Saturday.

Signing up for CareCall is easy. You can either pick up a form at your GP practice or local Pharmacy, log on to www.mycarecall.net or look out for the letter you’ll be receiving in the post soon for more details. If, for any reason, you do not want to be eligible for this service, you should let your practice know.

As part of the Primary Care Trust’s commitment to improving services for local people, some non-identifiable patient data will be used to help us better understand the population’s health needs. If you want to find out more or do not want your data (this does not include any personal details about you) to be used, please let your practice know. Alternatively, please call freephone number 0800 028 4207 for further information about CareCall
